In the explosion at the Krušik specially built industry training ground in the Zlatarić village area near Valjevo, one worker was killed and another seriously injured. An investigation was carried out at the scene of the accident, which was carried out by the prosecutor on duty. The Minister of Defense visited the injured worker.

During work on the warhead for the anti-tank missile, at the Begova voda test site in the village of Zlatarić near Valjevo, an explosion occurred in which the 52-year-old engineer from Krušik, Miroslav Jovanović, was killed while his colleague with the initials MP he was seriously injured.

A worker in the special construction industry, who suffered severe burns, was first transported to the Valjevo hospital in a conscious state and, as we found out, during the afternoon he was transferred to the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade.

Residents of surrounding villages say the sound of the explosions regularly comes from the landfill.

“I saw the ambulance, it passed, I saw that the ambulance was Krushikov, the old ambulance was one and I calculated that something had happened. During the day they try, you hear those explosions, loud, the house shakes,” says resident Svetislav Radovanovic.

The victim, Miroslav Jovanović, 52, was a mechanical engineer working on a rocket program in Krušik. He was the father of three children.

Immediately after the occurrence of the extraordinary event, the Holding Company “Krušik” informed the competent state bodies that carried out the investigation, the Ministry of Defense announced.

Minister Stefanović visited the wounded

Tonight, the Minister of Defense, Nebojsa Stefanovic, visited the worker of the Krusik MP of Valjevo (56), who was treated at the Military Medical Academy (MMA).

As announced from that ministry, Stefanović thanked the doctors and medical staff of the Military Medical Academy for providing the injured worker with the best medical care and doing everything possible for his successful treatment.

Stefanović once again expressed his condolences to the family of the MJ engineer who died in the explosion, reiterating that this was a great loss for the special construction industry.
