An autopsy revealed up to 39 serious injuries to the girl’s body, she had bruises all over her head and a fracture to the upper part of her right arm, probably defending herself instinctively. He hit her because she couldn’t stop crying.

Albić’s uncle, Zoran A., and his ex-girlfriend Mira B, testified yesterday before the Zaječar High Court. beat them.

Interestingly, Albić’s uncle, for whom the young Zoran was named, first confirmed his earlier statement in court and then said that he knew nothing about the fact that his cousin had beaten the girls.

When asked by Marko Stanković, representative of the “Tijana Jurić” Foundation, which represents Luna’s father, Dragan Purić, if he knew that his cousin had beaten the girls, the uncle answered yes, but had not seen him in person. . Zoran Albić interrupted his uncle’s testimony on several occasions saying: “It is not true” and “Tell me how it was”.

MOTHER IN PRISON

Vesna Firulović from Slatina near Negotino, the mother of the brutally murdered girl, is currently serving a prison sentence in Požarevac. Last October, she signed a plea agreement with the Higher Public Ministry in Negotin and sentenced her to eight years in prison. It is also the maximum punishment for the crime of not providing assistance to a defenseless person for which Luna’s mother is accused.

The ex-girlfriend’s testimony also passed with Albić’s striking look back and “shooting a look”, for which he was warned several times, but the girl declared that he had been violent with her before, and then mentioned the names of several other girls Albić hit.

– Considering that he is being tried according to the old law, in force at the time of the commission of the crime, we believe that this is a happy circumstance for him. If it were different, this would be the first life sentence without the possibility of parole – says Stanković.

Igor Jurić, who follows all the hearings related to this case, supporting Luna’s father, Dragan Purić, claims that the only adequate punishment for this crime is 40 years in prison. The Negotin Superior Public Ministry agrees with that.

– In general, today he tried to influence witnesses, intruding on his uncle and looking at his ex-girlfriend, for which he was warned. The murder of little Luna is one of the most serious crimes that has occurred in recent years, and we will do everything possible to give this man the maximum possible punishment – points out Igor Jurić.

CHANGED STATEMENT

ALTHOUGH initially he admitted to the crime, asking for an agreement on a lighter punishment, at the preparatory hearing in March, Zoran Albić changed his statement, challenging the act against him. At the main trial recently, he testified about a fateful night without a shred of emotion, saying in cold blood that he “slapped the girl and then left the room.” However, the investigation established that Albić slapped Luna on the body and head, kicked Vesna out of the house and released her only when the girl could not be saved.
