Near the OMV gas station, which is located near the central bus station at the entrance to Vranje, an unknown perpetrator fired several bullets tonight around 6 pm, of which, according to unconfirmed police data, a younger woman died on the spot.

The person who killed the girl immediately after the shooting did not leave the scene of the murder, and the police blockade of the entrance roads as well as the exit from Vranje soon followed.
Today, the Vranje prosecutor’s office confirmed that “they received a confirmation from the police administration about the murder in the early hours of the night, that an on-site investigation is being carried out by order of the prosecutor on duty.” Police inspectors immediately blocked the video system at the local gas station and took pictures from security cameras.
Workers at the OMV gas station are being questioned, as well as several eyewitnesses who were nearby when the woman was killed.
The wider area of Vranje is blocked by the police and intensified control of all local and regional roads has begun where a suspect in the murder of a woman is suspected to have been found.
Since September 2019, when a male member of a criminal group was killed, this is the first murder in Vranje in which a female person was killed.
