The unusual event worried the villagers of Macvan.
Last night a large burning candle was placed in the middle of the local Sevarice-Drenovac road, and there were two white sheets on the side, one of which was hung from a tree in the shape of a cross.
Locals found an unusual sight that they took the bus to the third shift to work last night, Objektiv reports.
“When the bus stopped, the women started screaming,” explains a local, adding that a young man even fled into the forest out of fear.
Residents of Drenovac and Sevarica went to the police. Each of them has their own explanation for an unusual case. Some are scared, while others claim that someone was just joking.
An older Drenovac resident says the story spread throughout Serbia overnight and that a friend of Zajecar’s called him this morning to ask if it was the work of a sect.
“The authorities must determine what happened and if we are sure,” said a Drenovac resident.
