The drop in passenger car sales in the first nine months, sellers say, is about 24 percent, while the commercial program fell 10 percent. There are not enough vehicles in stock of all kinds, because no one expected an epidemic, shutting down factories for three months and a higher demand for cars in the West.

The national manufacturer “Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Kragujevac” initiated an action so that everyone who buys the domestic “Fiat 500 L” that is assembled in Kragujevac, and gets an old one to recycle or sell, receives a discount of 2,200 euros. In just one month, more than a thousand buyers decided to buy this car.

“The results are really great, in the last month we have increased the sales of the ‘Fiat 500L’ model by almost 40 percent, and what is very important due to the additional interest of the customers, we have decided to extend our commercial action”, Igor Ševo from “Fiat” points out.

So far, Fiat has managed to recycle some 14,000 vehicles since the time of the Punta, and sellers say the potential is much higher, especially from next year, when new stricter measures for exhaust gases come into force.

“The average age of cars in Serbia is 17 years, which means that in Serbia we have enormous potential to store those vehicles that are somewhere at the end of the century. If the state applies incentive measures, we could easily replace those. vehicles, and here it is. raw materials for recycling, “says Miloš Petrović of” Grand Motors “.

The state donation of one million euros for the purchase of hybrid and electric cars was used very modestly, only 80 were bought.
