Sava Center
The largest congress, culture and business center in our country and one of the largest in the region, it was built in 1977. For decades, it has hosted important international conferences, including the World Bank and the IMF General Assembly, and has hosted the most important artists in the world.
A month ago it was put up for sale at a price of 27.4 million euros, with the obligation of the buyer to invest 50 million euros in the renovation of the facility. However, no one submitted an offer and the sale failed, as on several occasions in previous years, finding a private partner to manage the facility with the city of Belgrade.
It is no secret to anyone that “Delta Holding” is interested in “Sava Center”, but apparently it is waiting for the price to drop a bit, as was the case with “Beograanka”.
Genex Tower
The Genex Tower was built in 1980, and in recent years it has mostly been mentioned when the elevators are not working. There is only an hour left in one of the first smart buildings in the Balkans, in an abandoned tower, and he himself is part of the bankrupt estate that is now being sold.
Once a mono-company “Genex Export”, it built, in accordance with its reputation and economic power, the tallest building of 119 meters, dominated by a restaurant-viewpoint.
The building, which once housed 2,000 people, currently has tenants on just six floors. Although a few years ago the possibility of state bodies moving to the Genex Tower was mentioned, it did not happen.
Despite the fact that it is a 35-story building in one of the most attractive locations in the city, so far no one has been interested in buying it, although it has been put up for sale several times since the bankruptcy.
BIGZ
The BIGZ building was built in 1937 as a Tamparija State building, shaped like the letter “p” for Iril, which resembles a tampar machine.
In the golden age of socialism, BIGZ employed almost 3,000 people, while in recent decades, there are tamparia, warehouses, offices, music studios, art studios, crafts and artists workshops, capoeira cars, radio stations , cultural center in 25,000 square meters. .
The shareholders of BIGZ Publishing were offered to sell the real estate at the established location near the Belgrade Fair.
The new school book owns 76.7% of BIGZ’s editorial shares, 4.3% belongs to the Shareholders’ Fund, while 18.9% is owned by citizens of small shareholders.
The session of the Shareholders’ Meeting, which was scheduled for June 29, and in which the possible sale was discussed, was not held.
