January will not be peaceful either! Epidemiologists warn about worsening of the coronavirus situation Due to the New Year and Christmas holidays, and the consequences of increased concentration and movement of people, we can expect as early as mid-January.

The cold and the holiday season are slowing the decline of the epidemiological curve, and epidemiologists believe that accelerated vaccination will help in the fight against covid.

– There is a period of celebrations, New Years, Christmas, celebrations, everyone who is sitting at home now, will go out for the Serbian New Year, so the number of infected will decrease more slowly, it will be like that until the end of the month. We cannot tie the end of the epidemic to spring, spring is a period of three months, I think the situation will gradually be better than in February, said epidemiologist Radmilo Petrović for Alo.rs.

What kovid vaccine would you get?

He adds that the accelerated vaccination of the population and the announced arrival of a greater number in January will prevent a new wave of the epidemic.

– I advise everyone to receive the vaccines that are currently offered. All those vaccines have passed the control, the vaccines are safe and protected. I believe above all in the “dead vaccine”, now they make it in China. But this vaccine takes longer, will not be manufactured in large quantities, and will be more expensive. I also believe in Sputnik V, Russian vaccines are good, Russians have shown themselves well during the Ebola and SARS epidemics – said the epidemiologist, adding that he believes that those who have had a crown should also be vaccinated, because it is individual how long they are keeps the body antibodies.

Once again it appeals to citizens that of all measures, the proper use of masks protects 90% of coronavirus infection, other measures are 10%, but also that it is very important for the whole picture to distinguish between infected patients and with coronavirus.

– An infected person came into contact with the virus and the virus spreads through the body, and in an infected person the virus enters the body, multiplies, attacks tissues, lungs, enters the bloodstream, attacks the heart and other organs. When we have that in mind, there are about 1/5 of the total number of people infected with coronavirus, said epidemiologist Radmilo Petrović.

Virologist Ana Gligić also believes that the killed vaccine is good in the fight against kovid.

– I am always in favor of classic vaccines, they need more time and better controls to produce them. Killed vaccines give short-term immunity, live vaccines are made of agents that attack the body and have the task of strengthening the immune response. Large animal and human tests are needed to start the application. I see that the Russians are also working in China. I certainly believe that it is necessary to start mass vaccination with the vaccines that we have as soon as possible, so that the coronavirus is under control, Gligić said.

What are killed vaccines?

Killed Vaccines – The use of physical and chemical agents produces vaccines with an inactivated (killed) pathogen. Due to the weaker immune response they provoke, it is necessary to administer two or more doses of these vaccines. Since the level of protective antibodies decreases over time, booster doses are necessary. Here, too, there are 3 groups of vaccines, against different microorganisms: viral (polio vaccine) (IPV, Salkov vaccine), influenza vaccine (there are live and dead influenza vaccines), rabies vaccines, meningoencephalitis transmitted by ticks, viral hepatitis A), bacterial (vaccines against pertussis, typhoid and paratyphoid fever, cholera), rickettsial (vaccines against typhus, Q fever). For the dead, there are generally no contraindications to pirmen.

Unlike dead vaccines, live vaccines contain live but weakened pathogens, which do not cause disease, but promote the creation of immunity, and it is more pronounced than so-called. dead vaccines. They are still widely used, and depending on the type of causative agent they can be: bacterial (BCG vaccine against tuberculosis), viral (smallpox, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccine, smallpox, influenza, yellow fever, oral polio vaccine – OPV, Sejbinova), rickettsial (typhus vaccine). For all live vaccines, contraindications are a state of weakened immunity, congenital or after serious diseases, and another condition (pregnancy).
