Milos Miljanovic from Novljan was arrested for an armed intrusion into a bar in Vracar. He offered no resistance, and weapons were found in the apartment he was using.

At the Braničevska street cafe in Vračar, at the time of the intrusion of a masked man with a machine gun, there were also three people, whom the security services and the police pinpoint as being close to the “scalp clan”. It will be known if they were objective after the investigation is completed, but after only ten hours, the Montenegrin citizen Miloš Miljanović (33) from Herceg Novi was arrested by police on suspicion of On Monday Around 5 pm with an automatic “uzi” weapon he walked through the garden of a café in the center of Belgrade.

Criminology experts say they don’t know what’s weirdest about this event. A man with a mask and a gun, dressed in black, who “wanders” aimlessly in a cafe, or those who recognized themselves as targets and hid behind the bar. No bullets were fired, nor was a word of threat made.

– Miljanovic was arrested very quickly, while sleeping – says the source of “Novosti”. – His movement was reconstructed in detail by reviewing the images from the café’s surveillance camera, but also from the surrounding buildings. This is how it is located. He offered no resistance, and a weapon, a silenced Uzi, a silicone mask, and the wardrobe he was in during the incident were found in the apartment he was using.

Police said the suspect did not use a firearm, and that no one was injured during his “walk” through the cafe. A statement by the Serbian Interior Ministry states that “members of the police, in cooperation with the relevant prosecutor’s office, are working intensively to clarify all the circumstances of this event.” Miljanovic was ordered to be detained for up to 48 hours, and he will be taken to the Office of the Senior Prosecutor in Belgrade, along with a criminal report.

After a subsequent review of the recording and identification of the guests, the police determined that Miloš Nilović, alias Runjo, Vojkan Kostić and Nikola Kovačević were sitting at a table. The first two contacted the “resellers”, but also with Filip Korać, Luka Bojović’s right-hand man.

Nilovic has already met “face to face” with the killer once. By pure luck or ingenuity, he avoided being shot even when his friend and associate Vladimir Popović Pop was killed. Popović was shot in his cafe in Vračar in December 2018, and immediately before his death he was in the company of Nilović, born in Nikšić (with a place of residence in Voždovac). This Voždovac man was also arrested in a police action at the “Durmitor” cafe in New Belgrade in June 2017. He was tried for illegal possession of weapons.

The biography of Vojkan Kostić, also a close associate of Vladimir Popović Pop, is no less interesting. Kostic, otherwise a former member of the Gendarmerie, was arrested in 2016 with Popovic and one other person, on suspicion of trying to extort 110,000 euros. This case is known as “Havana”, because two owners of a mobile phone store were beaten in the casino of the same name in the “Slavija” hotel. The first instance verdict was approved, which the Court of Appeals reversed and ordered a new trial. Kostic and Dalibor Djoric are being tried for extortion, because the third defendant, Vladimir Popovic, was killed three weeks before the first instance verdict was pronounced.

NO FILE

MILOS Miljanovic, who was arrested in Belgrade, has no criminal record in Montenegro. He lives in Herceg Novi and was born in Trebinje. According to the police, he entered Serbia illegally.

MESSAGE

– The police action is commendable, that it managed to find and arrest the suspect in just a few hours, who was walking through the center of Belgrade with a machine gun – says Ilija Zivotic, president of the professional association International Police Organization (IPO). – That is a strong message that criminals will not be able to walk freely and without punishment in Serbia. Investigative bodies will now determine what this man’s specific intention was.
