Everyone from Tuesday to work from home! What does this measure really mean and when is it applied?

Provide work from home to all employees whose work process allows it – so says one of seven new government measures that come into effect from Tuesday. Although during the previous strikes of the crown it did not stand out so much in the foreground, those companies sent workers to work from home according to the possibilities and options, now this measure has risen to the top of prevention and has become an obligation .

– Enable work from home to all employees whose work process allows it – this measure is accurately read, which should begin to be applied on Tuesday.

Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar said today, commenting on the new measures, that two reasons are crucial in this case.

Among the measures is to make it possible to work from home, for two reasons so that people do not make contacts and to ease transportation in the city – he said.

Dr. Branislav Tiodorović previously emphasized that this measure had been in the plan for some time, speaking of the epidemiological situation in southern Serbia.

– It is not excluded that it is recommended that everyone who can work from home, and that children are not taken to kindergarten, but only go with the confirmation of parents that they have to work – recently noted Dr. Tiodorović .

This recommendation was first realized in Nis and then applied in Temerin and Vrbas. With the new government measures, which have been applied since Tuesday, that recommendation is now marked as a measure, and superiors are obliged to enable employees, whose work process allows it, to work from home.

What does this measure contribute?

Working from home means above all a drastic reduction in the use of public transport, and thus the probability of transmitting the virus is reduced, because urban transport is marked as one of the main places of infection. Also, when you work from home, you don’t have contacts with other colleagues, so the virus “gets in the way” a lot.

In addition, parents of children who go to kindergarten through the application of this measure no longer have to do so. If you work remotely, you have the opportunity for children to spend the day at home, and therefore the probability of transmission of the virus is greatly reduced, both among children and parents.

It should be remembered that in recent days the news has been spread on social networks and in some portals the news has been spread that in the next two months parents who have children in kindergartens must submit written confirmations that they are required to be physically present at work for their children to be admitted to preschool.

However, as “Blic” wrote previously, a similar decision has not been made, and possible such recommendations depend on the local autonomous governments in whose jurisdiction the preschool institution is located.

Where is the problem?

During the crown’s first strike, many companies, who could, sent their employees to work from home. And it’s no secret that most companies already have some kind of “emergency plans” for business if there is an “explosion” of infected people at some point.

As now, sadly, that time has come, and the recommendation has become a measure, the question is how feasible it is in certain activities.

This refers mainly to state agencies, companies that have daily contacts with parties where it is almost impossible to enable work from home.

However, as it is stated that the measure refers to making it possible to work from home to all employees whose work process allows it, certain employees will still have to go to work every day, despite this measure.
