The largest shopping center in the region, “Gallery Belgrade”, opened this morning in Belgrade on the water, and the solemn ceremony was also attended by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. During the tour, he expressed satisfaction with the appearance of the “Gallery” and noted that it was very well designed.

“We made the most beautiful walk in all of Europe, with more greenery, with access to one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe. We made several fascinating buildings, several boulevards, as if they were not made in Belgrade. Almost 5,000 people will work here, when all the bars are 1,100 people worked in this facility every day, many families lived from it, “said President Aleksandar Vucic, adding that the project would contribute 0.3 percent to the country’s GDP and have a significant impact on the economy.

As he said, with this project we have gained a lot in attracting tourists, hiring construction companies, employing people in the installation.

Vučić said that thousands of our people will work in this mall, but thousands will be able to enjoy it.

He emphasized that the mall is now starting to fill up. “We hope it will be more full in March and April when we have the vaccine,” Vucic said.

The hosts informed him that the “Gallery of Belgrade” is by far the largest shopping center in the region, having a total area of ​​300,000 square meters, 93,000 square meters of rental space and 3,600 parking spaces.

I want to thank everyone who participated in the development of this shopping center, our contractors, engineers, local architects, tenants … they all did a great job with us. Something like this reaches out to everyone in Serbia, because this brings new jobs and brings economic progress, ”said Eagle Hills company president Mohamed Alabar.

After talking with contractors, the Serbian president said that 2,850 workers were hired at the Belgrade construction site on the water, 300 workers in the Tower alone and that there were many foreign workers.

The inauguration was also attended by Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, Finance Minister Siniša Mali, Mayor Zoran Radojičić and Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić.

The “gallery” covers 300,000 square meters. The total area of ​​the “path” is 34,000 square meters, so if a visitor wants to cross them all, they will have to walk five kilometers. 50 escalators have been installed in the shopping center.

“Every street and square in the ‘Gallery’ is designed with a special style: there are streets inspired by the old streets of Belgrade, so the facades, lighting and street furniture are made in the way found in Knez Mihailova , while other streets are decorated in a modern style.
