3 weddings were interrupted, numerous bars were closed

In the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, this evening three weddings were interrupted, some bars were closed and the owners of the bars were punished for violating epidemiological measures against the corona virus.

Pristina Health Minister Armend Zemaj wrote in a Facebook post that weddings have been interrupted, because gatherings in them can become a source of infection and, according to him, that is inadmissible.

“Measures have also been taken against the owners of the facilities where the weddings were held, in Gjakova, Junik and Slatina, while a nightclub in the Arberia settlement in Pristina was closed, and measures have been taken against the owners of this club “Zemaj said.

He emphasized that the priority continues to be the health of citizens and that anyone who violates the law will bear the consequences.

“Weddings and any other meeting that may be a source of covid-19 will be avoided in accordance with the regulations for the prevention and fight against the virus. The law is very clear, you just have to apply it,” Zemaj emphasized.

He said today at a press conference that if the number of people infected by the corona virus increases, there will be new measures to combat the epidemic.
