The Crisis Staff of the Government of Serbia for the fight against the coronavirus epidemic has decided that during the weekend that we have in front of us, everything will be closed on the territory of Serbia, except for facilities related to food, pharmacies and gas stations.

This was announced at the press conference after the crisis staff session led by the provincial secretary of Health, Zoran Gojković.

No concerts will be held over the weekend, he added.

Turning to next week, Gojković says that online classes for secondary schools will continue, but in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the oldest classes in primary schools, from fifth to eighth grade, will be transferred to classes. online.

Pupils in the lower grades of primary school will continue their classes as they have done up to now.

The situation is extraordinary

Gojković also assessed that the situation regarding the coronavirus epidemic is extraordinary.

“We have a period of a slight increase in the number of new infected, but according to forecasts and what the medical part of the Crisis Staff expects, that number will grow.” It is good that this number is not expressed exponentially, there is not a great leap that we are all afraid of, because the majority of citizens respect the current measures ”, said Gojković.

According to Gojković, vaccination is carried out continuously.

“We have around 700,000 revaccinated and around 1,850,000 doses of vaccine, therefore, we use vaccines. New checkpoints are being opened, it has been agreed with the Ministry of Health and local autonomous governments to provide conditions for as many citizens as possible to be vaccinated. The most important thing is the campaign, that is, the maximum call for all citizens to be vaccinated. We will do those two things more in the next period, “Gojković said.
