Zorica had a premonition that she was going to die!

Exactly 13 years ago, on December 29, 2007, the participants of the reality show “Big Brother” died in a car accident when landing in the river on the Obrenovac-Sabac highway. Then we were left for good by Zorica Lazić (24) from Kosovo, Stevan Zečević Zeka (24) from Novi Sad and Elmir Kuduzović (26) from the city of Gračanica near Tuzla.

Zvezdan Lazić, the brother of the late reality show participant, admitted to us that the pain and sadness for young lives who passed away prematurely are still as strong as the first day.

He says he regrets not stopping Zorica from getting on the reality show “Big Brother”, as well as that he still regularly visits the Mali Mokri Lug cemetery, where she is buried. We went there with Zvezdan, who, in addition to candles and flowers, bought his late sister her favorite energy drink.

– He liked to drink “red bull”, so I take it with him when I come. I light a candle, leave the flowers. I also bring him cigarettes, a light one. She always scratched my cigarettes. The family comes to the cemetery regularly. Every commemoration, as well as on January 1, when she is buried, we come. Mom and Dad, in addition to Brother Zvonko, me, my cousin and my niece come once a month. For each of his birthdays, his mother makes a cake, we all come, we eat a piece with her, mark that day – says Zvezdan with a shaking voice and says that it is still very difficult for the parents of Dragoljub and Jovanka Lazić.

– They are broken, but at least the younger brother got married, he has two children. The grandchildren give them comfort. Dad is retired, Mom had a heart problem, surgery, but now he’s fine. As far as I know, it is not easy, we are struggling with that pain, with that sadness – he says.

Could not come to the funeral

Lazić revealed to us that he passed through Golgotha ​​during the tragedy and that he was unable to attend his sister’s funeral because she was working abroad.

– It was the hardest thing for me when Zorica left. I was in Norway with a temporary job. I applied for a passport and residency in September, and she died in December. I couldn’t even come, I couldn’t go to the funeral, I didn’t have any documents, the embassies didn’t work because it was a holiday. I was in a black hole. Suddenly I hated everything, I didn’t even want to keep my job. It’s one of the worst moments of my life, you can’t change anything. I got sick, I couldn’t go to work, I quit, I hated everything alive. I didn’t leave home for three months, I just went to the store. I thought: “What am I doing, why am I saving, I’ve been working since I was 16 …” You fight, you work and that’s what happens. My whole world collapsed. After a year and a half, I went to his grave for the first time; Zvezdan remembers the most difficult moments.

The family opposed reality

Through tears, he described to us what the last conversation with Zorica was like and how he learned the terrible news.

– The day before his death, he called me on the phone, we talked for an hour. “Let me tell you this, let me tell you that.” I said, “Phones are expensive” and he didn’t give up until he told me everything. In the end, she told me, “Just so you know, I love you so much.” It was as if he felt. It was around 11:15 pm and he died the next day. I couldn’t sleep all night, as if something told me that something terrible was going to happen. On the day of her death, I was sitting with my roommate Miki and suddenly yelled, “Zorica!” He was afraid, he asked me what happened. I felt some pain, something heavy. Less than an hour has passed, Zvonko calls me and says: “Something terrible happened, Zorica died” – said Zvezdan.

However, the older brother is not the only one who foresaw that something bad would happen. Father Dragoljub was against his daughter’s entry into “Big Brother” and tried to dissuade her from doing so.

– On one occasion, my dad called me while I was in Norway and said he was against my sister getting into reality. It was as if he felt something. He said: “I gave him everything, what is happening there, there is a circus.” And I was a little sorry, I supported her. She went through everything, we ran away when they were young from Suva Reka in Kosovo, I told her to come in if she wanted … She came in because she was stubborn, brave, she wanted everyone to know her. He once said to me, “If you don’t know all the people, you can’t live here.” She wanted to be a presenter and she would be. Had he known, he would have come from abroad to prevent him from entering. We were not in danger, we helped her, she was not lacking. We always gave him money. I bought her the most expensive dress for graduation. She was a unit, the only girl, everyone loved her more, Zvezdan barely utters it.

Hard life

On the day of the tragedy, Zorica herself had a premonition that something would happen, which she told her then boyfriend.

– I was obsessed with psychics, astrologers. He walked up to them and they all told him not to go anywhere that day, that it was risky, especially when it came to traffic. But she didn’t listen to them. On the day of her death, she told her boyfriend: “Today I am going to die.” He told her not to speak nonsense and that he would slap her, but she kept repeating it. He told me when I came to Belgrade. Some destination. Sometimes I think that maybe she was tired of everything. Honestly, she was a little prettier than the others, everything throws some things. Many were envious of him, especially in the collective center of Ugrinovacka, where mine were going after the refugee. Everything bothered him. If he was supposed to die, he didn’t. Nobody needs it – the brother of the deceased participant told us. Lazic told us that she always knew that when she was a child, it was harder for Zorica to go to the collective center, the refugees and the fact that she was no longer at home.

– That life overwhelmed her. After arriving from Suva Reka, mine spent two years in the Pink Room and then they moved to Ugrinovacka. They got a one bedroom, shared bathroom apartment. It was very hard. After that, I helped my dad buy a house in Baćevac, and then they moved to Mali Mokri Lug. When Zoka died, everything went through my head, all the scenes, hanging out with her. From childhood until that day. I remember, in the village we had a room where we slept as children, and she always lay next to me when I was cold to warm her legs … She was a wonderful girl, a wonderful, noble sister – she concludes.

Reality interrupted by tragedy

Let us remind you that on the night of December 28-29, Stevan, Zorica, Elmir and Vladimir Sarić went to a party in Loznica. They were in one car, while their roommates Jelena Žeželj, Tanja Obradović and her sister were in the other. The road was slippery, so Tanja called her friends and told them to slow down. After that, he never saw them again. At ten kilometers, when the team in the other car saw that there were no other cars, they turned around and returned to the site of Usce, where the accident occurred. They saw a young man lying on the shore. That was Vladimir. Police and firefighters removed the vehicle and the bodies of the victims from the river for more than two hours. Sarić was supposedly supposed to drive the reality show contestants, however Elmir insisted that he be behind the wheel. The production company “Emotion” stopped broadcasting “Big Brother” before the end was scheduled, and the money for the prize was distributed equally among the participants.

You are forever in our hearts

Stevan Zecevic’s mother, Vida, posted yesterday on Facebook and remembered her son, to whom she dedicated an emotional message.

– On this day you have gone forever among the angels, you have been with them in our hearts for 13 years – he wrote.

Just a few months ago, her mother made an emotional announcement on her birthday.

– Stevan, my son, today he would have turned 37 years old. This is the thirteenth year that you celebrate your birthday among the angels, but you are in our hearts forever – he wrote then.

I have a lifetime trauma

On this occasion, we also contacted Tanja Obradović, friend and former housewife of “Big Brother”, who went to a party with the dead, but was in another car. He lives and works in Switzerland, but often remembers former members of his family.

– I remember it every year. No new year is the same. I am sad that they are gone, I have not forgotten them. I’m sorry all the media calls come down to that, because it reminds me of them, of what happened. We entered “Big Brother” to be heard, to affirm ourselves, we were young, eager for everything and for success, and a tragedy happened. People still recognize me when they see me, but they connect me to that situation. It is a trauma for me for the rest of my life – Tanja told us and added:

– Life takes us in the other direction, we rush towards our goals, that’s why bad events are sometimes repressed. But those things cannot be forgotten. I come to Serbia sometimes, but I couldn’t go to the grave. Honestly, I couldn’t, not that I didn’t have a wish. But I always come up with something short, I long for my family.

– In the first period after the tragedy, I was in contact with their families. These people are still dear to me. We have contact, but it is not frequent, sometimes we listen to each other. I am friends with Zeka’s mother on Facebook, from the family of Emir, my sister. He got married, life goes its own way. Zorica’s brother, Zvezdan, also called me a few years ago, he had some questions to ask me. I’m always there for them – Tanja concluded.
