The president of the New Party, Zoran Zivkovic, said after the meeting that the opposition plans to appear in various “ideological columns” in the upcoming elections.

Zivkovic told reporters that going to the polls together would be “insulting the voters” due to the different programs and ideologies of the parties, and that this was not a “logical solution” for Montenegro’s reputation.

Zivkovic added that in the meeting of the opposition representatives, one of the issues was the control of the elections in the legal sense, so that there would be no theft of votes in the next elections.

New Party council chairman Aris Movsesian said the opposition dialogue on unification is an important preparation for the dialogue between the government and the opposition, in which the participation of the European Parliament delegation is expected.

He said that the opposition is working to present “joint and concise” demands to the representatives of the authorities, and the representatives of the European Parliament.

Movsesian claimed that representatives of the Serbian United Opposition did not attend the meeting and asked them to come back to the table “and to cooperate with those who want to fight.”

The meeting at the New Party facilities was attended by the president of the SDS, Boris Tadic, the representative of the Free Citizens Movement Pavle Grbovic, the Enough is Enough Vojin Biljic movement, the president of the Democratic Party of Serbia Milos Jovanovic, the Don Initiative ‘t Drown Belgrade Dobrica Veselinovic and the Committee Groups in Stari city Heart of the city Đorđe Miketić.

As announced, the next opposition meeting will be organized by the Free Citizens Movement.
