Sabac’s local elections are partially repeated on September 5
Crisis personnel lifted the state of emergency in Sabac on Saturday, and previously the City Election Commission made the decision to hold a replay of the elections seven days after their abolition, that is, on September 5.
Repeat elections are being held in 27 polling stations, with 28,800 registered voters, or about a third of the electorate. By the way, GIK annulled the elections in the 100 polling stations for embezzlement, electoral theft and vote buying, but the Administrative Court of Novi Sad, before the appeal of the SNS, decided to repeat in 27 places.
The main reason is that the votes were collected outside the polling stations. However, for two months, the prosecution and the police have not announced a major electoral robbery in Sabac.
Criminal charges were brought against hundreds of people, most of them with a criminal past, evidence was presented and witnesses were named, but nothing from the investigation. The Administrative Court and the Prosecutor’s Office did not deal with the forged ballots found in 12 polling stations. The only statements so far given to the police by the authors of the criminal report are “Podrinski” journalists Ivan Kovačević and Hanibal Kovač.
These ballots were of a different color, but the police were not interested in what the paper was like, where the printing plates came from, and they also had a list of those who voted.
According to rough estimates of the legal team of the “Nebojsa Zelenovic – Sabac is ours” list, several thousand stolen votes are questioned, with the purchase of two to five thousand dinars per vote, and there were organized criminal groups that brought, promoted, paid and they controlled the voting. and there were other recognizable “methods”.
Sabac’s progressives assure that they won with a difference of 12,000 votes, while in relation to the seven pro-democratic electoral lists that difference was around 800 votes.
In repeated elections in 27 polling stations, that difference is around 60 votes. If the electoral census was crossed by the Metla – Opstanak list, which lacked about 200 votes, and UDS – Prilika, as a minority, which lacked close to a hundred votes, the pro-democratic Nebojsa Zelenovic – Sabac list is ours, the new Sabac’s team with the European Green Party and the Russian party would get the majority, that is, 35 of the 69 seats on the board.
Twelve lists have been entered for local elections and the following are also participating: SPS-JS, SRS, POKS, Zelena stranka and SPAS.
The Electoral Commission of the City, which is organizing the elections this time, was mentioned as a great barrier so that the elections did not steal again, while the Electoral Commission of the Republic was in charge of the June 21 elections. It is symptomatic that until now, the progressives of Sabac, as well as the high officials of the SNS, have never decided on the theft of elections.
SNS: Deliberate procrastination
The progressives, led by Nikola Selaković, Darko Glišić and Goran Vesić, Milenko Jovanov, accused Nebojsa Zelenović of deliberately delaying repeated local elections, using the pandemic as an excuse.
