H1 journalist Zaklina Tatalović was again the target of a sexist attack.
The most mundane insults on this occasion were voiced by folk singer Aca Lukas, as a guest on Pink on the Hit tweet program.
Previously, Zaklina was insulted for months by Informer’s owner and editor-in-chief Dragan J. Vučićević, who posted photos of her on Twitter with derogatory comments.
If such a thing could be expected of these two, because their culture of behavior and upbringing at home is not at an enviable level, it is surprising the lack of reaction from Aleksandar Šapić, a former water polo hero of the nation who fell silent and watched to the floor while Lucas insulted the journalist in his own way.
The attacks on Jacqueline point us to several things.
The first is to live in a patriarchal society with a disturbed value system where, if you have nothing to say to an argumentative woman, you will say that she is fat or a whore.
With impunity, because our institutions have remained in backward times.
So, looking at who is insulting, it is clear that this rhetoric is only emphasized and intensified in relation to that used by the President of Serbia, addressing independent and objective media and journalists.
And Jacqueline is especially on her wallpaper because she’s a regular at press conferences and always asks “awkward” questions.
Here we come to the last item, which, in addition to all the previous ones, is equally tragic, only in the background.
The situation with Zaklina Tatalović is a clear indicator of the state of journalism in Serbia.
To those who insult her, government supporters, Jacqueline is enemy number one.
For others, on the other hand, Jacqueline is a heroine who is applauded by half of Serbia.
However, she is neither.
She is simply a journalist as every media worker should be: professional, objective, asking questions of interest to the public, not commissioned.
If there were more journalists and the media, there would be no such polarization and we would know that we live in an orderly society.
At the moment, we are miles away from that.
“I have been a journalist for almost two decades. During that time, I gained a lot of experience and contributed to making the televisions I worked on, BK, Fox, Prva, become the most viewed. My goal is that while objectively informing viewers , my television do the same with me. That is why the transition to H1 is the only logical move, because it is the only television in which today you can hear a different opinion and get objective information. H1 journalists tell you what it is like, and not how someone would like to be, and that’s the main reason I left Prva, “Jacqueline said after switching to H1, emphasizing that she doesn’t want to work in the media where the editor tells her what to do. lectures that we should not ask for.
For a long time, as a journalist, he followed the work of Aleksandar Vučić.
He later spoke publicly about how he called media owners calling for the firing of a certain journalist, but also about how obsessed he was with Twitter and the comments about him.
