Jay Ramadanovski was buried today in Belgrade’s Alley of Honorary Citizens, where a large number of friends, neighbors, colleagues and citizens gathered to pay their last respects.
Jay was buried according to Muslim customs, as he was of the Islamic faith. Jay’s great wish was fulfilled at the funeral: 50 violins were played at his grave.
As a reminder, Jay passed away on Sunday, December 6 after a heart attack. Doctors tried to resuscitate him, sadly without success.
By the way, Jay underwent a heart valve operation in Vienna three years ago, and then doctors told him that he had to strictly watch his diet and a healthy life.
For days, colleagues and friends have said goodbye to him, pointing out that Serbia has lost a great and authentic artist.
Jay is left with his inconsolable daughters Ana and Marija, as well as his ex-wife Nada.
