Members of the Ministry of the Interior in Bogatić, by order of the Šabac High Prosecutor’s Office, filed a criminal complaint against a 26-year-old man on the grounds of suspicion that he committed the crime of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, police said .
It is suspected that he first caused a traffic accident, then removed the license plates from the vehicle he was driving and fled the scene.
Police soon found the man, and license plates and a package containing approximately one kilogram of the narcotic amphetamine were found in the backpack he was carrying, police said in a statement.
