The value of the projects that we have discussed so far is around 3,700 million euros. – Through Ni-Merdare, from Nia to Plonik, we have already obtained financing from European funds, the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and an international tender for the selection of contractors is expected at the end of October or early November. , to Plonik to Merdar, we do not have secured financing, and we will discuss this in parallel with the preparation of the documentation. Also, the priority is to connect Nia and Pritina by rail, where now the trains from Nia to Merdar go at about thirty kilometers per hour and where the documentation technique must be done. “Mihajlovieva said as a guest on TV Prva.
He stressed that Serbia is the central country of the region and that other projects outside the regional connection have been discussed with the DFC.
“They also talked about the railway connecting Serbia with Bosnia and Herzegovina, about the highway to Romania for which we could have documentation next year, about the Sombor-Kikinda expressway which would include the connection with Hungary and Romania. Next year many will projects could be ready, especially when it comes to project documentation, “he said.
Asked about how to finance these projects, Mihajlovic said that it would be part of a loan, but that grants and technical assistance in preparing the documentation were also discussed. He added that the best companies in the world from China, Russia and the United States are already working on infrastructure projects in Serbia, and that he expects the best companies in the world to also work on new projects.
Mihajlovic also said that it is important to find the issue of women’s entrepreneurship in the framework of cooperation with the DFC, through the strengthening of corporate social responsibility and support for women’s entrepreneurship, not only in the founding of companies, but also in its maintenance in a critical period for its survival and growth.
He also said that three major infrastructure projects will be completed by the end of next year: the high-speed railway from Belgrade to Novi Sad, the section of the Milo Veliki highway from Preljina to Poega and the first section of the Moravian Corridor, from Krujevac to Pojat.
“In December 2021, the plan is to complete the first section of the 27-kilometer-long Pojate-Preljina highway from Pojat to Krujevac.” It is not just about connecting Belgrade and Novi Sad, but it shows the importance that the state grants to the modernization of the railway today, “said Mihajlovic.
“You get on the train, read two or three messages and you arrive in Novi Sad,” said the minister.
He added that the “Milo Veliki” stretch from aka to Poega, one of the most difficult to build on the entire highway, should be finished by the end of next year.
Mihajlovic emphasized that the works at the infrastructure construction sites did not stop at any time, not even during the most difficult time of the epidemic and the state of emergency, but some other areas, such as air traffic, suffered significant damage. .
During the epidemic, everyone saw how important it is to have a national company, because it was Air Serbia that brought back thousands of our people from all over the world and transported humanitarian aid to Serbia. Europe recommends it to the world, but we will know more about it after talking with the partners of this company, “said Mihajlovieva.
