All financial institutions have also prescribed minimum commission amounts when withdrawing cash from a nematic ATM. That amount ranges from 20 to 240 dinars, depending on the bank that issued the card. Some banks make a difference, so raising a dune is cheaper than in the case of “visa” or “master” debit “plastic”.
The amount of the commission is determined by the bank in which the customer has an account, ie. the bank that issued the payment card to the user, who withdraws cash at another bank’s ATM. A simple calculation shows that it is not profitable to raise smaller amounts. If the minimum commission is, say, 200 dinars and two percent for larger amounts, the same commission will be paid by the one who collects 500 dinars, as well as the one who collects 10,000 dinars. It turns out that for the second it is really two percent, for the first it is even 40 percent!
Data on the fee prescribed by payment service providers for withdrawing cash from vending machines can be found on individual banks’ websites, but since last year also on the website of the National Bank of Serbia. The reason, as explained in the NBS, is to ensure the comparability of these commissions, but also of others that have to do with the withdrawal of money and payments between different banks.
In the section “Rates of payment service providers related to payment accounts”, you can find information on the price of withdrawing cash from ATMs in the country and abroad. Fees related to credit cards are also shown separately in the “Cash and Payment Cards” section.
According to the data of that site, Halkbank has the lowest minimum commission for withdrawing money at other ATMs, where that amount is 20 dinars, if “dune” is used, while with “visa” it is one percent and one minimum of 60 dinars. With the “dune”, the minimum commission in the NLB bank is 20 dinars, but it is seven times higher with the “master”. At MTS bank, the commission is 1.2 percent and at least 30 dinars, as at Jubmes bank.

At the Postal Savings Bank, withdrawing cash with a “dune” costs two percent, and at least 50 dinars, and with a “master” card, the minimum is double: 100 dinars. A customer with an account at Komercijalna banka, when withdrawing cash from the vending machines of other banks “with one din”, will pay a commission of two percent and at least 60 dinars for lower amounts, and if he uses a “visa”, then that service will cost you at least 150 dinars. for larger amounts, the fee is one percent. The same with the “plastics” of Unicredit Bank costs 50 for the “dune” and three times more for other cards.
Adiko Bank charges the most expensive minimum fee for withdrawing cash from other banks’ ATMs: 240 dinars, Raiffeisen 210 dinars, Mobi Bank 200, while for other amounts the fee is two percent.
Erste banka, Euro banka and NLB charge a minimum of 150 dinars in fees when cash is withdrawn with a “master” card, 195 dinars with OTP banka and Vojvodjanske 170 cards, or two percent. Prokredit charges this commission of two percent or 170 dinars, Zberbank two percent or 100 dinars and Intesa 90 dinars is the lowest commission.
The parent bank that issues payment cards charges its customer a fee for withdrawing cash at another bank’s ATM and, through that fee, reimburses the amount of the service fee, as well as any other costs related to said transaction . When withdrawing cash at the bank’s ATM, which is both the issuer and acceptor of the payment card, there is no specific service fee, so banks do not charge a fee for withdrawing cash at their own ATM.
It is even more expensive to withdraw money at the counters of other banks, where the commission is up to three percent and 350 dinars. To withdraw cash abroad in the banks that enable it, the fee is one to three percent, and mainly three to five euros, at least.
