“Yes, it is true that Putin will apologize to Vucic.”

Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian president, confirmed the fact that the Kremlin leader had a conversation with Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic, during which the Serbian side apologized.

According to the Russian president’s spokesman, there was a telephone conversation between the leaders of Russia and Serbia, during which the issue was raised. It was noted that Vučić himself spoke about it on the air of the Serbian television channel RTS.

Peskov called Zakharov’s post about Vučić’s visit to the United States “reckless” and noted: “Yes, it is true that Putin will apologize to Vučić.”

It should be recalled that the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Marija Zaharova, allowed herself an incorrect statement addressed to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, due to her visit to Washington.

This sparked an international scandal: the Serbian Foreign Ministry “called the carpet” for Russian business in Belgrade.

Later, the Serbian edition of “Politika” published an article, putting a photo of Zaharova on the cover.

The journalists decided to respond to Zaharova’s attack on President Vučić with a photo of the president of the Russian Foreign Ministry, who vulgarly raised his leg in a short dress during the dance.

In the context of the diplomatic scandal with the Russian Federation, Serbia refused to participate in joint exercises with Moscow and Minsk.
