With over 1,500 infected in 24 hours, we are again threatened even by POLICE HOUR, and we have not forgotten how we were “BLOCKED” for 638 HOURS OR 26.5 DAYS!

Wearing masks and keeping the necessary distance is fine, closing the cafe before, football games without the audience and not going on vacation, somehow let’s move forward, but let’s not reintroduce the curfew and the state of emergency!

This would be the thinking of the average citizen of Serbia who, like the inhabitants of the entire planet, is already tired of the coronavirus and the restrictions that have been imposed for months to combat this disease. However, some kind of curfew has already been reintroduced in Spain, France, Greece, Slovenia …

And for those who may have forgotten what life was like during the state of emergency and curfew, a brief reminder is not out of the question. During the first incursion of the crown, from March 18 to May 6, the inhabitants of Serbia spent 638 hours or more than 26.5 days in a kind of quarantine during the curfew!

The curfew was first introduced on March 18 and initially in a shorter period, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am the following day. However, in this modality it was valid for only four days, since it was extended from March 22 to the period from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am, which is why all stores, pharmacies and bakeries had to change their hours of work.

In early April there were serious announcements that the curfew could last 24 hours a day, which fortunately never happened. However, the authorities decided to limit citizen gatherings, especially in the picnic areas, to long curfew hours on the weekend.

The first lasted 60 hours, from April 10 in the afternoon to April 13 at dawn, so that we had the longest Easter, but also the most controversial, in the period from April 17 to 21, and lasted up to 84 hours!

Immediately after its completion, the decision was made to shorten the curfew in the future, during which citizens were banned from going out on the streets (with the exception of those with permits), so it began every day to 6:00 pm

We had the third “lock weekend” from April 24 to 27 and lasted 59 hours, while for the May Day holidays the ban on going out was valid from April 30 to May 2, or “only” 35 hours.

It was … it didn’t happen again.
