Why haven’t they called me to get vaccinated yet even though I applied them? There are four reasons for this, and these are ALL EXPLANATIONS

Although vaccination in Serbia is progressing well and although almost 20% of the population has been vaccinated, there are still citizens who wonder “why they have not called me yet, even though I applied regularly”.

People claim that they called or duly completed a questionnaire on the e-government website more than a month ago, they even received a message about the successful application, but not a call for vaccination. Some of them belong to risk groups, that is, they are over 65 years old and have not yet had an appointment.

Automatic lists

The Institute of Public Health “Dr. Milan Jovanović Batut” explained that the renewal of the applicant lists is done automatically. According to them, this is done “based on the parameters entered during the application, the priorities defined and the availability of the vaccine, and therefore the selection of respondents depends on it.”

As they add, “taking into account that certain quantities of vaccines are successively available and as the organization of vaccination requires large logistical capacities, it is not possible to carry out the immunization of all those who have expressed interest in a short period of time”. However, they emphasize that “all those who have expressed interest will be vaccinated in the next period”, but they cannot specify exactly when.

The first reason

Based on all the above, it can be concluded that there are several reasons why you may not have received an invitation to get vaccinated yet. The first potential reason could be the current lack of vaccines.

– Now we don’t want to give the first dose without providing a second dose for everyone – Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said recently.

The good news is that more than 150,000 doses have arrived in the last two days, and another million “Chinese” are expected.

Another reason

Another reason may be that there are currently no desired vaccines. For example, if you have ordered the “Sputnik V” vaccine, there may not be enough vaccine for everyone at this time.

Those who chose to be vaccinated exclusively with “Pfizer” are known to have been on the waiting list for the longest time. On the other hand, those who were not “picky eaters” waited less and most Serbian residents were vaccinated with a vaccine from a Chinese manufacturer.

The third reason

It follows that you may not have been invited to get vaccinated yet because there are no desired vaccinations in your area.

Distribution and storage conditions vary from one vaccine to another. Thus, for example, the “Pfizer” vaccine needs to be stored in special freezers at a temperature of -70 degrees, which is almost impossible for some indoor health centers.

The fourth reason

The fourth solution is that you simply do not have your turn yet, that is, you are not among the priorities. The groups that have the advantage are, among others, those over 65 years of age, health workers, as well as employees of the army and the police. However, the good news is that some points are open for vaccination and walk-ins, and students can also receive the vaccine.

There is currently no verification number

When asked by “Blic” if citizens can verify when they will be called for vaccination through a phone number or email, “Trampoline” points out that for now there is no contact phone number or a designated email address for that purpose.

What they recommend is that those who were not invited to the vaccination verify their requests, that is, the data they provided, and determine if the contact phone number is spelled correctly, if the diseases they suffer from are listed, etc.

Almost 20% of citizens have been vaccinated

According to the latest data, 2.2 million vaccines have been administered in Serbia. Almost 1,325,000 people were vaccinated with at least one dose, while 875,000 received both doses.

So far, 2.8 million vaccines have reached Serbia.

With 100,000 doses of the Russian “satellite V” that arrived in Serbia, a total of 2,810,000 vaccines have been delivered to our country so far, enough to immunize almost 1.5 million people.

More than two-thirds of the vaccines came from distant China: two million doses of “sinofarm”, the Russians delivered a little more than 340,000 “satellites” in six tranches, while we received a little less than 320,000 “phasers” that They arrived on Sunday from the West level, as well as 150,000 “astra-zeneka”.

– Between April 5 and 10, another million Chinese vaccines should arrive – announced the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

On the other hand, the director of the RHIF, Sanja Radojević Škodrić, confirmed that the fifth vaccine – “modern” – will arrive in Serbia in the last quarter of this year. So when another million Chinese vaccines arrive in the first decade of April, we will have a total of 3.8 million vaccines available.
