The Ministry of Public Transport sent a notification to all carriers of regular public transport in Belgrade, stating that drivers are obliged to check whether the passengers entering the vehicle have masks.
A statement from that secretariat indicates that the entrance door is intended for the entry of passengers and that if a passenger enters a vehicle without a mask, the driver is obliged to warn him to leave the vehicle.
If the passenger without a mask refuses to leave the vehicle, the driver must contact the dispatcher at the control center of the Ministry of Public Transport, who will inform the closest patrol that carries out the control.
The statement recalls that notices and inscriptions on the prohibition of entry without a protective mask are displayed on vehicles, as well as inside public transport vehicles.
Starting today, more intensive controls will be carried out to comply with this measure.
The decision to prohibit entry without a mask has been in effect since July 6 and the fine for non-compliance with the measure is 5,000 dinars.
The implementation of the decision is controlled by the Sanitary Inspection of the Ministry of Health with the assistance of the Communal Militia.
