The question that everyone is interested in is “how to apply for state aid”, but also when will it go to the accounts of registered citizens?
Siniša Mali provided the answer to this dilemma.
– We are going with a new package of economic support measures, now citizens will receive 30 euros twice, and an additional 50 euros for older citizens. The same system will open in April, registration through the call center or the website of the Treasury of the Republic of Serbia. We pay the first amount in May and the second amount of aid will be paid in November. In September, retirees will receive 50 euros, which means they will receive 110 euros – said Mali.

He said that last year 6.2 million citizens applied for the first aid kit, and the system worked without errors.
– Another 30 euros are paid automatically, there is no need to register twice, and older citizens do not have to register for free, they automatically receive 110 euros. Also, people receiving social assistance do not have to register, says the Minister of Finance.
It is especially important, says the minister, that last year’s economic aid measures worth 6 billion euros of support through minimum wages led to the unemployment rate of nine percent being lower in the third quarter than in first.
– There are no mass layoffs or a large number of people who lost their jobs, as in some other countries – notes Siniša Mali.

According to the Minister of Finance, those of us who will suffer the least from the consequences of the corona virus.
– In the third quarter, Croatia had a drop in PDP of minus nine, the United States had -3.5 for the whole year, Great Britain around -8.9. These are catastrophic figures for developed countries. They have lost what they have been building for years. We have fought with strong and comprehensive measures. Last year, in December, industrial production increased amid the pandemic, as did food production. We managed to do it under the conditions of the worst crisis in the world. Our budget for 2021 has a record amount of money. We are building roads, we will have six roads that are being built while the crown is, we are moving forward – says Mali.
He says the state is looking to further strengthen the budget to reach the growth rate and respond to the pandemic in the right way, but also to maintain the success they have achieved thus far.
– All citizens of Serbia deserve help, the results are good. We have a surplus of 13.3 billion dinars in January and we plan a deficit of 13.4 billion dinars, plus almost 27 billion dinars. We have higher income. We separate the aid from those reserves – explains Siniša Mali.

When it comes to helping entrepreneurs.
– We go with three times 50 percent of the minimum wage, in micro, small and medium-sized companies. This assistance will support your work and employment. We will pay the bus carriers. The only question is whether we will also help large companies – admits Mali.
Says an analysis is in progress.
According to large companies, 25 of them had a drop in turnover of more than 70 percent. The impact was much greater in small companies than in large ones, with a decrease in 10,400 companies.
