The highest paid citizen of Serbia has a gross monthly salary of 62 million dinars, which is 528,000 euros. That’s 778 average gross wages in our country.

Last year, our richest citizen earned an average of 1,446 euros a day.

There are almost 28,000 millionaires in Serbia. That is, the Tax Administration received 27,866 requests to determine the annual income tax of citizens with income in 2019 greater than 2.7 million dinars.

The most commonly reported millionaire occupations are manager, director, and engineer, while 88 percent of reported occupations are male.

The highest number of millionaires was registered in New Belgrade (4,969) and the lowest in Vranje (102). After New Belgrade, in the capital, the highest number of millionaires was registered in the center of Belgrade, 4,869, and the fewest applications in Zemun (1,522).

It is followed by Novi Sad with 2.993 million, and the first next city in Serbia with the most citizens requesting the determination of annual income tax is Nis – 884.

After Nis, Kragujevac has the most millionaires: 633, Pancevo – 417, Zrenjanin – 395, Subotica – 356, Cacak – 342, Uzice – 305, Sremska Mitrovica – 268, Krusevac – 225, Jagodina – 204, Zajecar – 215 and Leskovac – 179.

The Tax Administration states that citizens who earned more than 2,729,304 dinars in 2019, that is, more than three times the average annual salary per employee paid in Serbia in that year, were required to declare annual income tax, according to data from the Office of Statistics of the Republic. .
