WHO ARE WOMEN FOR NEMANJINA’S NEW TEAM: They are competing for ministerial positions

Before that, a session of the National Assembly will be held, in which the leaders will be elected: the president, vice-presidents and the secretary of parliament. This pace of completion of the constitution of the legislative and executive power was also indicated by the members of the presidency of the SNS, who on Monday unanimously supported Aleksandar Vučić’s proposal to entrust the mandate of composition of the new ministerial cabinet to the current prime minister. Ana Brnabić.

For now, it is almost certain that the Government will have two more departments in the future and that women will occupy almost half of the ministerial positions. At the suggestion of President Vučić, the Ministry for Human Rights, Gender Equality and Social Dialogue should be formed, as well as a portfolio for the care of the family, children and demographics. Furthermore, at Vučić’s suggestion, there could be up to 12 women in the future government.

SNS officials Marija Obradović, who could take over the new family care department, and Irena Vujović, who is seen as Goran Trivan’s successor at the head of the ecology portfolio, are mentioned as candidates for the ministerial presidency. In the new term, a woman could also head the Ministry of Culture, and “in the game” to take over that department in place of Vladan Vukosavljević are currently Maja Gojković, Jelena Trivan and Aja Jung. Ana Ilić, the president’s adviser, has a slightly lower probability than the aforementioned trio. One of the possible solutions for the European integration department, which is currently headed by Jadranka Joksimović, is Suzana Grubješić, who in 2012 was Deputy Prime Minister in charge of “negotiations” with Brussels.

Some of the portfolios could be taken over by completely new people, staff from the SNS Academy for Young Leaders, such as the young entrepreneur and economist graduate from Krupanj Ivana Popović (31), who was ranked fifth on the list of progressive candidates for MP. The doors of Nemanjina 11 could also be opened for Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević, Deputy Director of the Institute “Trampoline”. It was mentioned that she could succeed Zlatibor Lončar at the head of the Ministry of Health, but it is not excluded that she, like Obradović, will compete for the leadership position in the new portfolio for the care of family, children and demographics.

IS SPS FOLLOWING, SAPIC UNKNOWN?

The current partners of the progressives, the socialists, will almost certainly remain in the future government, but it remains to be seen how many departments Ivica Dačić’s staff will receive in the final distribution. In the corridors of the match, it is said that besides their leader, only one other representative will join the team in Nemanjina 11, and Aleksandar Antić has the best opportunity for that. The option of a concentration government is still in the “game”, but there is less and less chance that Aleksandar Šapić’s SPAS officials will be in government.

The minister without portfolio for population policy in the outgoing government Slavica Đukić Dejanović says for “Novosti” that it is a quality proposal to transform the cabinet into a ministry, and when asked if she will be the head of that new department, says it will “talk about personal decisions to be decided by Prime Minister Ana Brnabić”:

– The policy and will of the State is that the issue of demography, the situation of children and support for children and the family is one of the Government’s priorities. The state’s determination to focus a special segment of the Government on population policy says the person most important to us, from birth, to childhood and beyond. The results in demographics are slow, it takes a decade for the parameters to change a bit. There are no politically affirmative results. We will not only measure the kilometers of the road and what catches our attention, but we will think ahead so that there are as many as possible, and that is why it is very good that there is a ministry.

VULIN: THE AMBASSADORS DON’T WANT ME

DEFENSE MINISTER Aleksandar Vulin said yesterday that YUKOM, who sent an invitation to Prime Minister-designate Ana Brnabić to leave her out of the proposal of future ministers, will not ask anything about government policy.

– Our pacifists shoot only against KLA and NATO opponents. YUKOM and other NGOs in The Hague never work alone and do not say what they have not been ordered to say. This is not a statement from YUKOM, this is the message from embassies and ambassadors when they would not like to see in the new government – said Vulin.

He stated in a statement that it is good to know that he has not changed in all these years of power:

– They never wanted to see me in parliament, in the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, or in the Government. My move would be a nice gift for both Thaci and the ambassadors, it’s a shame the army’s progress is so visible, but because of that, my removal would be even more valuable.

On the other hand, social networks have already “proclaimed” Milan Antonijevic, executive director of the Open Society Foundation, who mediated the government-opposition dialogue in the face of the parliamentary elections, as head of the new ministry of human rights, gender equality and social dialogue:

– I don’t really see my place within this ministry, but I welcome the intention of establishing this department. A society that is so divided needs to return to the issues of full respect for human and minority rights. One of the key messages of the dialogue that we started and continue with the European Parliament in the Faculty of Political Science is that it must be continuous and constant, which is not something that has just started before the elections – says Antonijevic from “Novosti”.

The final list of ministerial candidates should be “tailored” by Prime Minister-designate Brnabić in the next few days, and then the top of the progressives will discuss them in the presidential session, which will likely be on Monday.

Zoran energy again?

According to some reports, Zorana Mihajlović, current Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, could take over the energy department again or even retire and leave the ministerial presidency. Mihajlovic and Brnabic entered into open “wars” several times during the mandate of the outgoing government, so the assessment of both parties is that the withdrawal of the minister would be the best solution.

Political analyst Dejan Vuk Stankovic says Brnabic’s advantage as a candidate for prime minister, relative to other SNS officials, is that she is “not involved in intra-party conflicts” that, as she puts it, obviously exist among progressives around high positions in the future government.

– I see the election of Brnabić as Vučić’s message that the internal affairs of the party must be put aside and that the post of prime minister is reserved for someone who does not participate in the agitation of the party and the selfish conflicts of the party clans . Brnabić’s election also indicates continuity in politics. The government that he led has unquestionable results, mainly in the socioeconomic sphere, as the most important for citizens.
