Since mid-November, when the implementation of the Law for the Protection of the Population against Infectious Diseases began, 770 infraction orders have been issued.
Last weekend, both in Belgrade and in the mountain centers, the measures were violated. There were gatherings and parties.
The inspectors and the communal militia drew up 97 orders and imposed fines totaling 145,000 dinars.
They warn that for the holidays, the controls will be stricter.
“Our actions in Kopaonik last week and over the weekend and in Zlatibor showed that there is still a trend of non-compliance with all measures of personal protection, distance, removal of barriers,” said Goran Stamenkovic, Deputy Minister of Health for Affairs of Inspection.
He said there were 17 misdemeanor warrants in Zlatibor and 22 in Kopaonik.
“These are not small amounts, but it is obvious that there are still people who certainly somehow create an uglier image compared to what we expected,” Stamenković said.
After today’s crisis staff session, it was announced that New Years Eve will not be allowed. On Thursday, December 31 and the first day of the New Year, cafes and restaurants can be open until 6 pm
After the holidays, the old restrictions remain in effect.
