Deputy Mayor Goran Vesi, who announced this, adds that the symbols of the city will be illuminated in the colors of France.

“Belgrade, that is, its symbols / The Bridge in Ada, the Palace of Albania, the House of the National Assembly, the Branko Bridge and the fountain in Slavija, will be illuminated in the colors of France tonight,” Vesi told Studio B.

According to his regime, the Serbian and French hymns “Boe pravde” and “Marseljeza” would be broadcast on the Slavija fountain.

He recalled that friendly France was exposed to a series of terrorist attacks by Islamic fanatics, in which innocent people were killed.

“Belgrade stands united in solidarity with the French people and the fight against terrorism of all kinds,” Vesi said, adding that the terrorist attacks in France were attacks on common values.

That is why Belgrade stands in solidarity with Paris, with which it is twinned, but also with the French people, with whom we have a long history and alliance in common, Vesi said.
