What the experts think about Tomo Momirović, everyone agrees

Maybe it’s not a big surprise that it is Tomislav Momirović, owner of the hotel “Mona”, entry Government of Serbia, but the department of transport, construction and infrastructure, which was entrusted to him, certainly surprised many, even economic experts.

Everyone agrees that if, as a young expert, he managed to make good results in the hotel industry, that with his energy and knowledge he will do the same with the sector that has been entrusted to him.

There is no doubt, Serbian economists believe, that the Ministry of Economy, under the leadership of Andjelka Atanaskovic, director of the “First Five-Year Plan – Namenska”, “Dragon Women”, as Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic himself called it, will have results.

– The Minister of Economy and the workers took over a part of the bankrupt company and demonstrated that it could function, although it was not under the patronage of the State, because the company was canceled. Has organizational skills and has been shown to be able to work. Certainly, the ministers are not the ones who direct politics independently, it is a team effort and our president has an important role in all this, explains Ljubodrag Savić, professor at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade.

By the way, the Minister of Economy, Andjelka Atanaskovic, was chosen as the best coach in Southeast Europe. And the Trstenik factory was reactivated and in two years it generated revenues of more than 137 million euros.

When it comes to Momirovic, Savic points to the fact that he performed well in the hotel industry. It is a family that managed to support themselves and do a great job in difficult times.

– The new Minister of Transport surprises me, but I do not question his ability to lead it. He is a young man, who has shown himself in his trade, to be able to lead it. I don’t think he’s a worse minister than his predecessor, says Savic.

By the way, the future Minister of Transport, Construction and Infrastructure is waiting for the moment when he will have to roll up his sleeves. Her predecessor, Zorana Mihajlović, completed corridor 10 and the road to Čačak during her tenure. Momirović will have to finish the Belgrade – Budapest high-speed railway, part to Subotica, but also start the part towards Niš. There is also the Moravia Corridor, the beginning of the construction of the highway to Pristina, but also the end of “Milos the Great” and Corridor 11. Currently a section is being built from Preljina to Pozega. The future minister Momirović also received the construction of apartments for the security guards, but also the announced highway “Karađorđe”, from Arandjelovac to eastern Serbia.

EXPECTATIONS ARE EXPECTED

The Minister of Transport is an extremely interesting solution and left an impression on me as someone who defends the economy, believes Nebojsa Atanackovic, honorary president of the Employers’ Union. As he says, Momirović is one of the people to be valued for what he has done so far alone, without state aid. As for the Ministry of Economy, they hope to see the commitment of the Minister for this department.
