The Serbian Government has adopted a protocol for the entry of Serbian and foreign citizens into Serbia, according to the epidemiological situation.
Most of our citizens cross the border. Every day for the past seven days, between 200 and 300 people cross. They come mainly from abroad where they work temporarily.
There are about thirty of our cars in front of the Horgos border crossing: they cannot enter immediately, we must not have an easy and fast border crossing.
They were immediately received by the border health inspection, the doctor on duty, who individually wrote the decisions on health supervision to each of them to send them home for 14 days.
They are also required to report to the local health center, that is, to the local public health center, and there they are referred to an epidemiologist for analysis.
All this can be avoided if someone from abroad has a negative PCR test for the coronavirus.
When all that happens, only then is he allowed to enter the country and only then do they turn in their passports for examination to the border police, that is, the customs officer.
As for Hungary and Serbia, our citizens who are 50 kilometers away on both sides of the border can cross the border every day without hindrance on the basis of an agreement between the governments of the two countries.
It is very difficult to enter Hungary, you cannot go as a tourist for now, only those citizens who are in transit from 10 a.m. At 10 p.m. in Horgos and Reska crossing you can enter Hungary and have all the documents you need to prove if you are in transit, the temperature will be measured.
You do not need to leave until you are informed in detail at the Hungarian Embassy in Belgrade or the consulate in Subotica about everything you need, on paper, to enter or pass through Hungary.
When it comes to cargo traffic, there are no problems – about 600 trucks enter Serbia every day and leave Serbia.
