According to the decision of the crisis staff, supervision is being introduced for all citizens of Serbia returning from European countries after Friday at 6pm

As indicated, surveillance is introduced to prevent the risk of transmission of the coronavirus. However, it was not specified how the supervision will be carried out.

According to the recommendations of world organizations, the monitoring will last for 10 days, and they pointed to the increase in the number of infected people in the region as a reason for its introduction.

Epidemiologist Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević pointed out that Montenegro is the third most common disease in Europe and, as such, represents a risk, and that the number of infected is increasing in our country, given that a large number of our citizens live in Montenegro .

“We mentioned it because a lot of our citizens are in those countries,” Kisic said.

She said before supervision it does not imply a restriction of freedom of movement, but only the obligation to visit a doctor periodically.

The Crisis Staff asked citizens that all those who came from abroad be in self-isolation for 10 days, or that they take a PCR test. However, this is at the level of a recommendation because crisis personnel currently have no legal basis to quarantine or self-isolate a healthy person upon return from travel.

In addition, supervision will be mandatory for everyone, regardless of age.

What about those who return after the deadline?

As is already known, all citizens of the Republic of Serbia who enter the country tomorrow after 6 pm will be under special health supervision.

When crossing the border, they will receive a health warning, in which they will be informed about all the obligations that they are obliged to fulfill.

The first step that these citizens must take when returning to the country is the self-assessment test at kovid 19, which is available at the following address https://www.e-zdravlje.gov.rs/landing/.

Completing this questionnaire will help you better understand your general health and the test result will be an indication of whether to report to the Kovid clinic.

The citizen who performs the test must print or save the result, to have proof of the test.. This means that citizens should not automatically visit Covid clinics upon return from abroad, but only those who receive such instructions through a self-assessment test. This avoids unnecessary crowds in ambulances and eliminates the risk of uninfected citizens becoming infected with the virus in the examination lines.

The special health supervision period lasts 10 days, so on the 10th day after returning from abroad, citizens who did not receive instructions to go to the covid ambulance during the first test must take the self-assessment test for kovid 19. If the results show that there is no danger of infections, special sanitary surveillance is no longer applied to them.

Citizens who cannot complete the digital questionnaire They should call the institute or institute of public health in their city or municipality and receive all the necessary instructions.

Epidemiologist Dr. Branislav Tiodorović said there would be more opportunities regarding the surveillance measures that will be in force as of Friday. One of them comes to Kovid’s ambulance if someone returning from a summer vacation has problems, they can call the epidemiologist through the call center and then complete it. questionnaires electronically, and then decide whether to answer or not.

“The goal is to be available to all citizens, in order to preserve the health of both their family members and friends, associates, and it is also recommended that children do not go to school for 10 days after returning from vacation and thus preventing the spread of infection ”. Tiodorovic said.

He added that it is important to detect in time those who could possibly spread the infection and reduce the risk factors for transmission.

He said the recommendation was not to go abroad if it was not necessary.

Tiodorovic announced the possible introduction of quarantine if the situation worsens.

“When we look at all the countries where our people have stayed, we are talking about 100,000 tourists. We put our hopes in personal responsibility and awareness of the situation. If there is a deterioration in those countries, we will take more pronounced measures with adequate health surveillance quarantine since the fall, “he said.

Where you can travel freely

Serbian citizens can travel freely to Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Jamaica, Congo, Mexico, Oman, Palau, Pakistan, San Marino, Sudan, Turkey and the Central African Republic, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Entry without evidence and quarantine into the United States is also allowed, unless citizens have resided in China, Iran, and the Schengen countries, the United Kingdom, and Brazil.

Also, until two weeks ago, our citizens had to have a negative PCR test to enter Bulgaria, no more than 72 hours from the time of the test. That decision was overturned and a negative PCR test is not required to enter that country, but it is required to enter Egypt.
