Nenad Arsić’s family, mother and five sisters, four of whom live in Kosovo and Metohija, were convinced that the verdict would be acquittal. Nobody expected sentenced to six years in prison.

“It is a long time for an innocent man who was and will continue to be an honest good guy. He did not commit any wrong. But we will endure, we will continue to fight,” says Verica Janković, sister of Nenad Arsić.

The verdict was especially difficult for his 87-year-old mother.

“Only the mother said, be brave. So far you have been good, and now be good,” says Vidosava Arsić, Nenad Arsić’s mother.

The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija says that Arsić is a victim of the Pristina judiciary.

“That shameful verdict shows what Pristina is doing. And in fact, in that way, he wants to create a kind of artificial balance to show that not only Albanians committed war crimes and, on the other hand, send a message to Serbs from that they should leave Kosovo and Metohija and to intimidate those who want to return, “said Petar Petkovic, director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija reported the verdict to all international organizations, mainly EULEX, in order to point out the violation of rights, because it is a case in which, they say, the only evidence was false witnesses .
