Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić declared today that the crisis staff session is likely to take place tomorrow and announced further stricter measures.
As he said, the session was postponed because he wanted to discuss all the measures and not just the crisis personnel.
– Let’s just make a decision in the crisis staff that was answered before and see logistically how to do everything – he said.
“We are not thinking about mandatory vaccination”
The Prime Minister stated in Indjija today that the Serbian Government is not thinking of introducing the obligation of vaccination and that it would be contrary to all human rights standards.
– Vaccination is very important, but we cannot make it compulsory because there is a category of the population that cannot receive the vaccine and doctors can talk about it. But all of us who can receive it, it is our civic duty to do so because we protect people who cannot – said Brnabić.
She hopes that people will understand and we have a great interest in vaccination right now.
– I hope it continues like this, today a great campaign begins calling for vaccination through television, newspapers, billboards and I call, especially the elderly, to get vaccinated – said the Prime Minister.
“We will cancel the concerts and punish the organizers”
Brnabic also said that she will insist that all concerts be canceled, adding that it was amazing and that she was surprised that concerts were being organized in Belgrade at this difficult time.
– We will talk to the representatives of the City of Belgrade to see how it happened and we will insist that all concerts be canceled. This is contrary to all rules and measures and we will demand that the organizers be punished. It is not a play or a cultural event, Brnabić said.
Brnabić emphasized that mass vaccination in Kruševac and Sremska Mitrovica, where unregistered people can come, has proven to be very good. He claims that there were more than 1,100 citizens in Kruševac and 807 in Sremska Mitrovica, and that today it is even better. The Prime Minister also announced the opening of more such places for mass vaccination.
