Vladimir Lucic, current Internet and multimedia coordinator of the “Telekom Srbija Group”, is the new CEO of that company, as “Blic” has learned.
Lucic’s election was confirmed in the last session of the Serbian Government.
Previously, the CEO of Telecom was Predrag Ćulibrk.
Lucic was born in 1971 in Sabac. He enrolled in the Belgrade Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 1991 and graduated in 1996. In his official biography he states that he has a degree in electrical engineering, and that he obtained his MBA degree from the Kurt Bosch Institute University program (Switzerland).
“When I graduated from university in 1996 and became interested in going abroad, something unusual happened to me during that time. I applied for a job at ‘Telekom Srbija’ and got it, without any connection,” he once said. .
He went from “Telekom” to “Ericsson”, from Sweden he moved to Germany, where he received a green card. And then he returned to Telekom.
At the age of 32, in 2003 he became CEO of MTS, and in 2008 he became commercial director of all Telecom.
He states in his biography that, with brief interruptions, he has been part of the “Telekom Srbija” team since its founding in 1997.
