Epidemiologist Predrag Kon said that the medical part of the crisis staff insisted on more rigorous measures and presented the proposal to the Prime Minister of Serbia. He hopes that the government will adopt them and that they will be announced tomorrow.
Dr. Predrag Kon, as a guest in the Belgrade Chronicle on RTS, said that today at the Crisis Staff session, the medical side insisted that it was not possible to leave the meeting without more rigorous measures, and that is why a proposal and presented to the Prime Minister.
“I hope it will be officially announced tomorrow,” says Dr. Cohn, who does not want to talk about new measures beforehand, but says they are more rigorous than the current ones.
A member of the crisis staff believes that it can hardly happen that the Government does not accept the new recommendations.
Dr. Kon notes that more than 2,000 new cases are discovered in Belgrade every day, and nearly 20,000 appear every day.
– That’s 10 times what we found out. – emphasized Dr. Kon.
“If they beat the youth, they would win the fight against kovid.”
Commenting on a survey conducted in September, according to which 41.5 percent of citizens are not concerned about kovid and 31 percent do not wear a mask, Dr. Kon notes that finding a way to get closer to people , especially the younger ones, it is a great challenge.
– On the other hand, we constantly say that we are very bored. I don’t think we are sending enough messages. Maybe it sounds paradoxical or maybe we didn’t choose messages that would be very receptive, says Dr. Kon.
He believes that young people are very receptive to all possible messages.
– If we manage to gain youth, we automatically win the fight against any injection, even kovida 19 – concluded Dr. Kon.

– What I have to say is that there is a great risk in this situation, the farewell itself and the funeral itself. That is my duty – said Kon.
