Predrag Kon said in Chronicle of Belgrade that today in a crisis staff session The medical side insisted that it was not possible to leave the meeting without more rigorous measures, so a proposal was drawn up and presented to the Prime Minister.

“I hope it will be officially announced tomorrow,” said Kon, who does not want to discuss the new measures beforehand but says they are more stringent than the current ones.

A member of the crisis staff believes that it can hardly happen that the Government does not accept the new recommendations.

About death of Patriarch Irinej Y funerals announced for SundayKon says that the measures are in place, including a ban on gathering more than five people, but at the same time it is clear that every believer feels the need to fire their patriarch.

“What I have to say is that the great risk in this situation is the farewell and the funeral itself. It is my duty. On the other hand, all those who feel such a need, I beg you to use the protection that exists, to take care about the distance, to avoid any possibility of contagion ”, says Kon.

Officially, such collection is not epidemically acceptable in this situation, Kon notes, but on the other hand, as he added, it is something that no one can ban.

Kon notes that more than 2,000 new cases are discovered each day in Belgrade, with nearly 20,000 emerging each day. “That’s 10 times what we are discovering,” Kon emphasized.

“I would especially ask the elderly and those who are especially sensitive not to allow themselves the risk that there will be at that funeral,” says Kon.

“If we beat the youth, we would win the fight against kovid.”

Commenting a survey conducted in SeptemberAccording to which 41.5 percent of citizens are not concerned about kovid and 31 percent do not wear a mask, Kon notes that finding ways to reach out to people, especially the younger ones, is a big challenge.

“On the other hand, we keep saying that we get very bored. I don’t think we send enough messages. Maybe that sounds paradoxical or maybe we didn’t choose those messages to be very receptive,” says Kon.

He believes that young people are very receptive to all possible messages. “If we manage to gain youth, we automatically win the fight against any infection, even kovida 19,” says Kon.
