At the Batajnica covid hospital, 532 patients are currently being treated, says the director of that institution, Tatjana Adžić Vukićević, adding that another room with 104 beds was opened last night in that hospital.
“We are fighting like lions. There are no complaints. This morning we had 532 patients. Discharge is ongoing, so some will go home, but others are coming,” said Adzic Vukicevic.
He said another 104-bed ward was opened at that hospital last night, but it was also filling up quickly.
“We are waiting for 30 patients from the Infectious Diseases Clinic and as many more from Zvezdara. We are working bloody, we are all wet under the spacesuits. No one is sitting, everyone is working,” he says.
Also, the problem is that more and more health workers are infected, and the interlocutor says that they are trying to maintain the number of doctors and nurses.
“How an infection is sent to us is another. We ride slalom, but we stick to the numbers so that patients are not lacking attention,” concluded Adžić Vukićević.
