We do not renounce the request that the authorities sanction Boško Obradović

– We do not renounce the request that the competent authorities sanction Boško Obradović and the violence. I ask Sandra Božić to end the hunger strike, I will continue – Martinović said.

He added that there are many people in front of the Assembly, people who gathered spontaneously to support them, because they love President Aleksandar Vučić.

Furthermore, Martinović wondered how Dragan Đilas managed to cross the fence and approach Boško Obradović.

– What else has to happen, in case blood falls, that someone dies in order for the prosecution to react to the fascist attack against Mariana Risticevic? If this goes unpunished, if the attack on the MP goes unpunished, who guarantees the rights of any citizen of Serbia? This fight of ours is not a fight for individuals, but for all citizens of Serbia – emphasized Martinović.

As Martinović spoke, cries were heard in the background: “Aco, Serbs”, “Djilas, thieves” …

– We are not asking the Prosecutor’s Office to punish someone who is not guilty, nor to punish Dragan Djilas, but we are asking the Prosecutor’s Office to stop being under the authority of Dragan Djilas and to listen to everything he says. That prosecutors finally begin to do their job, explained the SNS MP.

With the strike, he says, they do not want to put pressure on the institutions, but ask why the prosecution does not react to the attack on MP Marjan Risticevic even after two days.

“Don’t they work on Saturdays and Sundays? Does that mean that SNS MPs can sue on Fridays and we don’t work on weekends, so we wait for the first working day after? Until the prosecution responds to us, we won’t give up our lawsuits, because we don’t work here on an individual, “Martinovic said.

He noted that the law should apply to everyone, because, as they say, there cannot be two categories of citizens.

He called on Sandra Božić to end the strike and said he would continue to fight for Serbia to remain a state governed by the rule of law.

“Hooligans and thugs cannot be privileged,” Martinovic told reporters in front of parliament.

He thanked the citizens who, he says, came during the day in front of the assembly to support them in the fight for the rule of law.

He added that none of the people who came today to support the SNS deputies could approach them, shake hands or speak with them.

“But that’s why he came here, putting pressure on the police, Dragan Djilas, Borko Stefanovic, Veselinovic … to support his uncle Bosko Obradovic and tell him what to do next,” said Martinovic.

All this, he says, is the best image that shows not only that there is no dictatorship, but that those who ruled until 2012 and “today are granted more rights than other citizens.”

“What else has to happen? Should there be a bloodshed, should someone die, should there be a civil war in the streets of Belgrade, for the prosecution to react to Bosko Obradovic’s fascist outburst? If the attack goes unpunished, the prosecution turns its head, who guarantees any rights and freedoms for ordinary people, “asked Martinović.

He said that what happened in front of parliament on Friday has the characteristics of a serious crime, for which a prison sentence of more than five years is threatened, because 15 or 20 people attacked Risticevic, which, he says, is an attempt of murder.

“We are not on strike because of the opposition, but we are sending a message to the prosecution to finally start doing their job,” he said, adding that they are not asking the prosecution to violate the law, but to stop being under the control of Djilas, who appointed prosecutors and judges.

When asked if he should have started a hunger strike, because the prosecution did not want to investigate the “Krushik” matter, Martinovic said that the prosecution reacted to the “Jovanjica” case, in which the owner of that farm property was arrested and an investigation is ongoing.

“We ask that you also react in this case,” said Martinović.

He announced his next speech to the press at 11 at night.
