At today’s session of the Government, a decision was made to allocate 200 million dinars to “Corridors” of Serbia for the development of a spatial plan and general project on the construction of the “Vožd Karađorđe” highway, as learned ” Blic “.
This highway will connect Šumadija with eastern Serbia, and the Government recently approved a conclusion confirming that this infrastructure project is of particular importance to the state. As announced, it includes the territories of the municipalities of Sopot, Mladenovac, Lazarevac, Arandjelovac, Topola, Raca, Lapovo, Velika Plana, Svilajnac, Despotovac and Bor.
– In this way, the connection of eastern, western and central Serbia with Belgrade and Vojvodina in the north, that is, central and western Europe, as well as with the southern parts of Serbia, that is, Macedonia, Bulgaria and beyond with Middle East and Asia will be announced recently from “Serbian Corridor”.
The “Zupanjac” circuit near Lazarevac will connect two highways, “Milos Veliki” and “Vozd Karadjordje”, which will allow the shortest connection with Montenegro, and through the port of Bar and southern Italy, as well as connections with sea ports of the Adriatic and the Mediterranean.
The “Vožd Karađorđe” highway will be connected to Traffic Corridor 10 near Mali Požarevac and Markovac, and will contribute to improving the general living conditions of citizens, but will also allow the accelerated development of tourism in Šumadija.
Brokers recently noted that the expected financial benefit from project completion refers to revenue from toll collection and commercial revenue.
