Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar said today that if we continue like this, if we are disciplined, if we get vaccinated, we can achieve our goal for the summer and get the crown under control.
– That means that we will have a good situation and we will think about what we could not think. We can think of going to sea. It is up to us, we have a chance, we are on the right track – he said.
He also noted that revaccination has officially started, but also that vaccination will continue.
– The important thing for citizens is that they go to the same place where they were vaccinated and there the revaccination is carried out on the day it is scheduled. We continue with the vaccination, additional quantities of Pfizer vaccine have arrived, additional quantities of Russian vaccine. The most important thing is that I think that citizens understood the importance of vaccination, if we continue like this and if we are responsible, there will be no relaxation after the first dose of the vaccine – Lončar said.
He points out that then we are not protected, but that revaccination must be carried out, as well as that it must take seven to ten days.
He added that so far 557,000 citizens of Serbia have been vaccinated.
About relaxation measures
– The measures are not respected enough. In the crisis staff session, first, like all serious people, we will do an analysis. It is clear that when we have such results, the measures are not respected enough – Loncar emphasized.
Holiday and vaccination
When asked if there will be vaccinations during the holidays, the minister said that it is up to the citizens.
– We will make a schedule and go to see what the interest is. Whether we will get the answers that they cannot change the term depends on that. We are ready with the capabilities – Lončar said.
About the production of the Russian vaccine.
– When they come to visit the plants and make sure Torlak has it all, on Friday afternoon we will see when we can start production. In two or three months, the assumptions are that we will start with a part of the production. That most of the finished substance comes here, and we pack and store it. This is the first phase that we would be ready to start for.
