Last night, the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić visited the works of the new kovid hospital in Batajnica and on that occasion he noted that he was proud that our state has managed to build a magnificent hospital in such a short time and thanked everyone who worked on the draft.
He posted a short video on his Instagram profile “buducnostsrbijeav” taken during a tour of the works.
– As a citizen of Serbia, I am proud to have managed to build such a magnificent hospital in four months, I want to congratulate all the people who worked on this project, the workers of the Termomont company, who carried it out. The state, which was able to pay for this in the most difficult conditions possible, the conditions of the corona virus, when the whole scene is in a financial and economic crisis, Vučić said.
He expressed his hope that the intensive care unit can be opened in seven days, which will be able to house 200 patients.
– We are waiting like the freezing sun that in seven days at least a part of the 200 intensive care beds will be later and more, to be opened for another 500 semi-intensive care – said Vučić adding that Serbia was the only one in Europe to build a hospital in such a short time.
– We are probably the only ones in Europe who managed to build such a solid hospital, such a large hospital in such a short time and have so many beds in one place. By far, this will be the largest hospital for us – emphasized the President.
