Consumers should heed this warning, as several importing customers have not been able to directly identify or inform them about problem products. The Commerce Ministry notes that if someone owns the disputed tap, they should stop using it immediately and return it to the merchant, who will compensate for the damage.
– The product carries the risk of electric shock, because a construction error causes structural changes in the heating chamber of the product, as a result of which a small amount of water can enter the area with the electrical circuit – indicates the Ministry for ” Novosti “. – This error poses a serious risk to the health of the consumer.
1,770 of these products were imported into Serbia and 947 were sold. All buyers were informed about the problem, but the importer did not directly identify 11 consumers who bought the product through wholesalers.
These are “Delimano” taps for instant water heating, model KDR 5E-1, series ORT20-002267, ORT20-002268 and ORT20-002843. The manufacturer is Nigbo Sond Feiyu Electical Appliance Co., and the country of origin is China. The product is marked with the barcode 76330033962544.
– The notification about the taps in dispute was presented to the Ministry on December 10 by the importer “Modern Studio” from Novi Sad, who immediately voluntarily removed the unsold merchandise from circulation and immediately informed each buyer when he managed to come about the recall and product returns and refunds – explain our interlocutors. – They also informed their wholesale partner and their consumers.
They add that a simultaneous warning has been posted on the NEPRO system website. As they point out, the market inspection, in a special supervision, will also control the execution of all the measures of that company.
Marko Dragić from the Serbian National Consumers Organization says that two buyers of the disputed taps contacted his association.
– They told us that the company “Delimano” informed them about the potential risk and that they were compensated – explains Dragic.
However, not all consumers seem to take these warnings seriously. In some social networks, some users have stated that they own the disputed tap, as well as that they have no problem when using it.
SERIAL NUMBER VERIFICATION
CONSUMERS know how they can verify the serial number on the taps through the company’s website “Delimano” and at the points of sale.
– You can see that on the plate at the back of the product box, or on the box, if they have kept the packaging – they explain at the Ministry of Commerce. – If they discover that your key number is ORT20-002267, ORT20-002268 or ORT20-002843, consumers would have to stop using the product and return it to the dealer.
