The lifeless body of Jasmina P. (46) was found the day before yesterday at dawn, in the house near Obrenovac, where she lived. She was killed with multiple stab wounds by her partner Radovan Rasa Ranisavljevic (58) from Koceljeva, who later tried to commit suicide by jumping from the Sabac al Sava bridge.

All the details of the brutal murder are not yet known. However, what Radovan himself admitted to the police is that, the day before the crime, in the late afternoon, he approached his lover and tried to enter the house. However, supposedly Jasmina did not allow him to do that. An argument broke out and Radovan, rebellious, decided the worst, to judge his beloved, and then himself.

According to “Novosti”, Radovan waited for everything to calm down and during the night he arrived at the house on Belgrade street in Baric, where Jasmina was, who is believed to be already asleep. He climbed the ladder, smashed the bedroom window, entered and stabbed her several times with a knife. Then, unofficially, she washed her blood and left. He closed the front door and threw the key to Jasmine’s house, the ladder, and the knife she committed the crime with, on the road.

After that, Radovan got into his car and drove it to Šabac, where he tried to commit suicide. He was prevented from doing so by the MUP patrol, to which he surrendered and admitted what he had done, after which he was arrested and handed over to the Belgrade police. A few hours later, the police entered Birač’s house and found Jasmina there. They called an ambulance, but it was too late for her.

The police carried out an investigation with the competent investigating bodies, fingerprints, DNA and other material were taken and other evidence was taken that should help to clarify this crime.

The residents of Baric say that they know Jasmina badly and that, although it is said that she was here for a long time, even with her family, she was not seen often on the street, in the store and much less in the neighborhood.

– We know her by sight – says a neighbor. – He miscommunicated with us. It seemed fine, cultural, peaceful. I heard that he was recently divorced and has a 25-year-old son and a 17-year-old daughter.

As we learn, the house where Jasmina stayed belongs to her relatives. She moved into it and supposedly planned to renovate it as well. She worked as a waitress or cook at the Serbian Clinical Center.

– We heard that she was originally from Svileuva, near Koceljeva, where she came from the man she was seeing. There was reportedly love between them, but also great male jealousy. Who will know what was happening there? Well, she’s divorced and he’s not … Maybe that’s the reason?

Radovan Ranisavljevic is known as a respectable man and a long-time head of the General Administration Department in Koceljeva, so the news of his arrest for the murder of his lover in Baric rang out like thunder.

– We are surprised by the news – they say in the local administration of Koceljeva. – Ranisavljević is hard-working and professional, dedicated at work and among associates. We wonder, what could have happened to react like this? We know him well and can only praise him as a man, colleague and friend.

Radovan has a wife, two children, and three grandchildren, so they just shake their heads in disbelief instead. Born in the village, Jasmina was killed but moved from this area, according to locals, from Draginja to Baric more than 15 years ago, and lived there with her husband and two children.

Did you want to end the relationship?

It was recently learned that Ranisavljević was allegedly facing a lawsuit for divorce, so it is speculated that there was also drama at his home. According to Koceljeva, Radovan wanted to end the relationship, but his lover blackmailed him for a long time.

Ranisavljevic has always been kind to the media. He is well known to journalists for the 2014 floods, when most of Koceljeva and almost the entire city were under water, and he worked hard both in defense and rehabilitation.
