Vulin, who together with Police Director Vladimir Rebić and Sid Zoran Semenović Municipality President, visited the policemen in Sid who carried out the action to find irregular migrants early on Friday, asked citizens to trust the state and the police, do not fall for false news and do not listen to anyone calling you to “organize to save something from someone”, because there are laws in Serbia and no one can take justice into their own hands, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

Due to the increase and influx of migrants, which is now felt in the Shida area, the Gendarmerie will be on duty in the next few days in the municipality and will make sure that those who should not be there are not there. on the streets”. especially that there are no uncontrolled meetings, “Vulin said.

According to him, no migrant who is not in our system and does not have a proper permit, is allowed to walk through our streets, especially not to camp or stay in an area where it is not regulated and allowed.

“Now that we have a crisis with the coronavirus, these people can be a health problem for them and for our citizens, and that is why they must be in our camps, where they are controlled and where they have all possible medical help and protection,” he said the minister.

The Head of the Police Department of the Sremska Mitrovica Police Administration, Dragan Stojanac, pointed out that there are three reception centers in the municipality of Sid, which currently house 1,860 migrants, of which 260 are in Sid, 600 in Principovac and 900 in Adasevci.

Stojanac said that crime in the migrant population refers mainly to conflicts between them and that there have been no cases of attacks on our citizens, noting that the police, according to all reports, act in accordance with the Penal Code.
