Belgrade / Podgorica – Defense Minister Neboja Stefanovi says the arrival of Serbian President Aleksandar Vui at the funeral of Metropolitan Amfilohije in Podgorica was a complex decision.

Stefanovi assessed that Vui thus showed exceptional wisdom to the statesman.
“This was not an easy decision in terms of security either, but certainly a decision that he thought of as a statesman, and we showed that we think of our people,” Stefanovi said in Podgorica.
He told TV Pink that the decision of the President of Serbia to invest in the “Serbian House” in agreement with the people of Montenegro is natural and that it is normal to fight to preserve it.
“Of course we will continue to invest in it. This is an important moment also for the census. And that is for the protection of the identity of our people,” said Stefanovi.
As he himself puts it, the attacks on the president for investing show that the movements he is making both in the Republic of Serbia and in the region are, in fact, things that, he adds, are helping our people.
“With the support of the president, Serbia will get stronger every day,” Stefanovi said, adding that it is very natural for us to take care of our people in the region.
Peasants: a brave move
The death of Metropolitan Amfilohije is a difficult time for the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian people in Montenegro, Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovi said today, adding that the departure of Serbian President Aleksandar Vui to the Metropolitan’s funeral has deep symbolism and that Given the security risks, it’s a brave move.

Noting that President Vui said in an interview that the Metropolitan had told him that he now fully understood the problems he faced as President of Serbia, Selakov said that this was one of the most impressive impressions of that meeting.

Srlakovi called the accusations that the Serbian president aided Milo Djukanovic, but also the opposition in Montenegro, contradictory.

He stressed that the departure of the President of Serbia to Montenegro is of great importance, with, as he himself says, all the risk it entails.
“It is not safe to go to Montenegro when you know about the problem we have with the activities of the Montenegrin criminal clans in Serbia,” Selakovi said.
He said that Vuia’s action was courageous and that it was important to show the unity of the Serbian people, and that the President of Serbia once again showed his extended Serbian hand to everyone, especially Podgorica.
Vulin: hypocritical attacks
