The meeting discussed equipping the Serbian army for 2021.
The meeting at the Serbian Army General Staff was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Neboja Stefanovi and the Chief of Staff of the Serbian Army, General Milan Mojsilovi.
“External conversations in the General Staff of our army. A strong army is the guarantor of peace, but also of the survival of our country and our people,” President Vui said after today’s meeting, the Defense Ministry announced.
The meeting discussed the results in equipping the Army in the previous two years, the activities being carried out now and the current equipping processes, and expressed the needs of the Serbian Army for new weapons and military equipment whose acquisition will ensure further strengthening of the Serbian Army.
It was concluded that the acquisition of modern weapons has taken an important step in strengthening functional and operational capabilities and the commitment to continue with accelerated equipment and modernization was emphasized.
