“Welcome dear friend”
Wui said relations between the two countries are the best in history.
“I am extremely happy that Serbs and Maari have extremely good relations. Our economic relations have never been so developed,” said Vui.
He added that he asked Orban for additional support from Hungary on the European road to Serbia.
“I called for even stronger support from Hungary. I want the citizens of Serbia to know that when many think what to say, when it comes to the rights of national minorities, they are always there to say good words for our country and we are grateful to them for that”. Vui said, adding that with that help, Serbia could secure a secure future on the European road.
According to him, Serbs and Maari live together and there are no “hidden problems”.
“It is important for us to express the gratitude we received during the pandemic, when help did not come from many sides,” said Vui.
He noted that Hungary also helped us obtain medical help.
“I informed Prime Minister Orban about everything that is happening in the region, the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the talks that we expect and I asked for the understanding of Hungary,” said Vui, adding that although Hungary recognized Kosovo’s independence, they understood to Serbia.
“No one understood Serbia as well as Hungary,” he said.
The meeting was held in the Presidency building in Andriev venac.
Orbana was received at the “Nikola Tesla” airport in Belgrade by the Minister for European Integration, Jadranka Joksimovi.
President Vui posted a photo of the meeting with Orban on his Instagram profile, with the description: “Welcome, dear friend.”
