Today, President Aleksandar Vučić visited the newly opened Radljevo-Sever surface excavation within the “Kolubara” mining basin

Today, President Aleksandar Vučić visited the newly opened Radljevo-Sever surface excavation within the “Kolubara” mining basin.

The Radljevo mine, as well as the existing Polje “E” mine, guarantee the future and sustainability of “Kolubara”.

-Energy supply is one of the most important points in Serbia. Almost 500 million will be invested in this mine, 60 years will be the supply of coal from here. We have had great success and great results – said President Vučić.

He thanked the miners for their work and effort, because, as he says, there is no rain or snow for them.

– I am proud of you and of our country, because after the crisis with the corona virus, we did not have any problem with electricity – President Vučić said and emphasized that all this was thanks to a responsible financial policy.

– The importance of previous investments in the healthcare system has now been demonstrated to us. Now we can not only save the economy, but also help the private sector. We want people to see that Serbia is firmly on its feet – Vučić declared, adding that so far two million and 400 thousand people have requested financial assistance from the state.

– In June, the minimum for companies rises again, and in July there will be another. It is one of the best economic plans in Europe, based on real money, based on the fact that Serbia should not sell 60% of GDP indebtedness – said Vučić.

He said he knows what risks miners are exposed to.

– I want to say thank you very much. Kolubara is the heart of our economy, there will be no layoffs, wages will be cut, and we will see if we raise wages again – Long live Europe, long live Serbia – said Vučić.

MALI: WE WANT TO BE THE FIRST IN EUROPE BY GROWTH RATE AT THE END OF THE YEAR

Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said that we must be aware that everyone is going through the biggest economic crisis in history.

– That blackest scenario did not happen here in Serbia. We came out with economic measures when necessary, we reserved 5.1 billion euros for that. None of this would have happened had it not been for the difficult reforms that President Vučić started in 2014. Those reforms have enabled us to deal with this crisis, he said.

He noted that this is proof that the Serbian state has successfully responded to all the demands of this crisis.

– We want to be the first in Europe in terms of growth rate by the end of the year. It is important for us to continue with the Serbia 2025 project: he emphasized and added that the objective is to have an average salary of 900 euros in the next five years.

ANTIC: MINING AND ENERGY WILL CONTRIBUTE TO GDP GROWTH

Energy Minister Aleksandar Antić said energy companies maintained a stable supply of energy under the conditions of the ban on movement.

– On this occasion, as always, the miners have shown that their work protects Serbia so that Serbia has a stable life and all possibilities of stable work – said Antic.

He noted that even in the state of emergency, all plans in the field of energy were developed.

– It is a project that should provide us with additional energy security. I mean that in 2020, the radar sector and energy companies will end with results that are in the black – Antic concluded.

VUCIC: WE DO NOT LEAVE OUR CHILDREN IN DEBT

Responding to the question about the behavior of the opposition and the upcoming elections, Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the economic evaluations, Vučić said that people can see for themselves how much the world trusts in Serbia.

– When taking the World Bank data, Serbia is for all a country that is the first or the second in terms of growth rate in Europe. The level of public debt is under control, says each of those institutions. We always control how much our GDP grows: we do not leave debts to our children, we invest in infrastructure, our factories – said Vučuć.

– How can you explain that to the people who borrowed the country with 4.4 percent bonds? I think everyone sees it well. He found no institution that said it would be worse in Serbia than anywhere else in the world. I am talking about the European Commission, the World Bank and other institutions – says Vučić

As he said, more than four years have passed since we had the elections.

– In our country, the elections take place after that period because some of them wanted to postpone it from the beginning of March until the middle of April, then we had an epidemic of the coronavirus. As for Kosovo, I have been listening to it since 2021 and I will have to recognize Kosovo because I am in a hurry. I’m not in a hurry, we have constitutional obligations. I do not know what to tell you. I will always advocate the preservation of peace, but when I needed to show firmness, I always showed it when it was necessary to preserve the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija – said Vučić.

– I can understand why you ask people to take refuge somewhere. And when people gathered for the curfew for no reason, I prayed without police intervention. I think it is normal and customary not to use the police against political opponents unless they are doing something violent, Vučić said, referring to opposition protests during the state of emergency.

VAT DATA WILL SHOW THE SPEED WE ARE OUT OF THE CRISIS

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that data on VAT collection will arrive tomorrow, which, as he says, will be an indicator of how quickly Serbia will emerge from the crisis caused by the coronavirus epidemic.

“Tomorrow we will receive VAT, if it is a good day for income, we will be able to tell you how fast and in what way we will get out of the crisis,” said Vučić.

He reiterated that he is convinced that Serbia will emerge from the crisis much faster than any other country, not only in this part, but throughout Europe.
