Vučić: I did not receive hyperimmune gamma globulin, which provides resistance to Kovid – Politika

On the occasion of the statement of Dr. Sanda Raskovic Ivic, given to the newspaper “Danas” in the November 9 issue, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, sent a response to our writing, which we transmit in full below .

Despite the well-known fact that I rarely respond to daily attacks that have occurred continuously and with undiminished intensity for years, this time I have to react to the statement by the policy and Dr. Sanda Raskovic Ivic published by the newspaper “Danas”, according to which he allegedly received “gamma globulin that provides hyperimmune resistance” to KOVID-19.

I made the decision to respond to this statement mainly for the citizens of Serbia and for the sake of the truth, because there are no things more important than the interests of our people.

From the beginning of my term as prime minister and later as president, I have tried not to differentiate myself from ordinary people in any way. The majority of the citizens of Serbia, but also my political opponents, cannot deny that I shared all the difficulties, challenges and torments of our people, including this serious disease that has shaken the entire world and whose cure is sought by the greatest medical experts in the world. world.

Personally, I experienced the same parental fear and anxiety as all the other parents whose children tested positive for the corona virus, which is why I shared the fate of our citizens in that way as well. I am proud of the fact that my children have never received preferential treatment, just as I would never allow myself to take more care of myself than all the people of our Serbia.

It is not enough to say that I do not know what hyperimmune gamma globulin is, or exactly what it is used for. Therefore, I have never received any hyperimmune gamma globulin, or anything else that distinguishes me from all other citizens of Serbia.

From my friends, medical experts, I learned that such a statement, to put it mildly, is far from any medical fact and truth. Furthermore, such a statement could even be dangerous, since we live in an age when conspiracy theories and quackery have become almost as dangerous as the disease itself.

For this reason, more than ever, seriousness and restraint is needed in statements of this type. Today, when we are fighting to save all the citizens of Serbia and when almost everyone deems it necessary to give opinions and medical advice, I will continue to fight even harder and harder, without giving up and without compromise, because the meaning of ruling the country is not just maintaining authorities and privileges, as was the case during the government of those politicians who saw in Serbia only a source of enrichment and a privileged status for themselves and their families.
